Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. does not believe the recently published SWS survey reflecting Liberal Party bet and Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo grabbing the top spot with 26 percent and overtaking him by one point. It shows that the Congresswoman has jumped from the third spot to the first spot by 7 points.
According to Sen. Marcos, one high-ranking employee from the Malacañang sent him a text message saying that he is still on the top spot in the latest SWS survey, with 28 percent. Both Robredo and Escudero, on the other hand, only garnered 23 percent while Senator Alan Peter Cayetano got 11 percent.
Sen. Marcos further said that the true results of the SWS survey were not released to the public as the copy furnished by Malacañang is for internal use only. With this, Marcos is asking the public to be vigilant when it comes to reading survey results. He explained that the public should scrutinized the results as there are chances of misleading is highly probable. He said that that survey results actually tend to mislead that voters as to who really gets the top spots.
The published SWS survey reveals that Sen. Marcos only got 25 percent. Given the poll’s error margin, this makes him in equal standing with Cong. Robredo. Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero ended up on the third spot with 18 percent while Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano garnered only 16 percent. Antonio Trillanes IV got 5 percent while Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan only owned 2 percent.
SWS survey disclosed that 1,800 participated in the latest survey.
Meanwhile, Marcos concluded his three-day caravan in Eastern Visayas last night by holding a grand rally attended by thousands of supporters. The rally was held at Balyuan Park.
It is estimated that there are 2.6 million votes registered in Eastern Visayas.
