- The surgeon still remembers to this day what the wife replied to her husband
Dr. Brian Snyder, an ER surgeon, recalls a comical moment he was witness to during his career at the hospital.
The surgeon ran outside of the hospital to aid a woman who was in labor. The woman was in her husband’s pickup truck.
The surgeon instantly knew that they would never be able to deliver the woman inside the hospital in time so he decided it best to have her give birth right inside the vehicle.
The surgeon recalls that the birth was difficult because the umbilical cord of the baby was wrapped around its neck and the doctor had to delicately unwrap the cord from the newborn’s neck.
He then handed the husband a pair of surgical scissors so he could have the honor of cutting the umbilical cord.
However, when the husband saw the condition his truck was in got angry at his wife for not “holding in” the child until they got into the hospital.
The surgeon remembers the wife’s snarky remark to this very day. Watch the video to see what she said.
