- Ma Juverley Frago Gaurano pleaded help for the unfortunate case of her sick baby Louise Athena
- The baby has Biliary Atresia and the procedure costs about 5 million pesos
- She hopes that her story reaches generous people who could help her baby recover and heal
On Facebook, Ma Juverley Frago Gaurano is asking for help with her first and only baby Louise Athena. Athena has Biliary Atresia where it is a birth defect that affects infants. The bile ducts in her liver are abnormal and because of this, her tummy is bloated.
The bile that’s supposed to be excreted in the bile ducts leak elsewhere.
It is truly a devastating thing for a baby to experience something so painful and tragic such as this.
She was hospitalized because of multiple problems: bruising, swelling, tummy has gotten bigger, staggered breathing, low hemoglobin that may have been caused by internal bleeding, and many more.
As of December 8, baby Athena has been discharged from the hospital after being cleared of lab tests. They’re currently preparing for the next step, which is the operation.
According to the mother, the liver transplant operation will cost a whopping 5 million pesos.

They cannot afford to raise the money on their own that’s why they’re asking for kind souls to help their little fighter.
They’re asking for “kind hearted and understanding” people, groups, organizations to donate any amount because it will greatly help them raise funds for Athena.
Juverley said that they cannot pay back all the support they will get but they know in their hearts that God will pay them back with their kind deeds. For those who cannot give donations, they’re seeking for spiritual support also; prayers for their poor baby Athena.
To anyone who was moved and saddened by this story and wants to donate, here are the details on how you can help their daughter to recover and have a chance of living as a normal baby girl:
