A young mom named Jonna Abanag has taken to Facebook to ask prayers for her little one as a genetic disorder turned her welcome into a trip to several hospitals and eventually into comatose state.
According to Jonna, Baby Janna was born on August 15 with blistering rashes on her arms and legs. They were discharged from the hospital two days later, without any advise from the doctor and while the blister scabs were peeling.
It was not until after two weeks when the young mom decides to bring her little one to the hospital, after Baby Janna started spitting up everything.
The trip took three hospitals before they finally found out what was wrong - Baby Janna's diagnosis says: Incontinentia Pigmenti stage II; Rule out late onset sepsis.
Baby Janna had gone through several rounds of tests, along with seizures which eventually led to comatose for two days. Before Baby Marie can be brought to neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), this little bundle of joy woke up and continued fighting.
A year later, Baby Janna is still well on her way to recovery. On her first birthday, she had another round of electroencephalogram (EEG) which turned out to still be abnormal. Her physical development is less advanced too as she still finds it hard to sit or stand on her own.
As of press time, Baby Janna still needs prayers, for a normal EEG result on her next birthday, and support for continued medication and physical therapy that will help her walk.
