- Ronnie Dayan, former driver of Senator Leila De Lima arrived in his hometown in Pangasinan
- Dayan requested to see his family after he testified in a house probe
- Dayan, who admitted having a past relationship with the senator, will be under police custody in Pangasinan
Ronnie Dayan, after giving his testimony in a House inquiry yesterday, arrived in his hometown Pangasinan Province at around 10:30 p.m.
The former driver and the alleged "bagman" of Senator Lila De Lima inside the New Bilibid Prison arrived at the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office with a convoy when he left the House of Representatives at around 7 in the evening.
Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ronald dela Rosa offered security assistance to Dayan if ever he requests for it.

During the House justice committee's hearing, Dayan has expressed his desire to come home despite threats to his life when Leyte Rep. Vicente “Ching” Veloso asked where he would want to go after he finishes his testimony and once the panel sets him free. Dayan said:
“Gusto ko muna umuwi sa amin sir, kung pwede sana.”
“Nasa isip ko rin yun [life threats], pero gusto kong makita ang mga anak ko muna.”
Dayan was welcomed by the provincial director of Pangasinan, PNP Supt. Ronald Lee and he was also checked by a medical team when he arrived.

Dayan confessed during the house probe that Senator De Lima gave him more than P2 million for the building of his house in Pangasinan within their relationship for 7 years.
The lawmaker's former driver also revealed that his relationship with De Lima started months after he was hired as her driver and security aide in 2007. Dayan said:
"Alam din po ni Ma'am na may asawa po ako noong panahong iyon. Kasal po ako since 1991 noong ako po ay nag-apply bilang security-driver ni Ma'am sa kanyang law office."
There is still no certainty until when will Dayan be under the custody of the police in Pangasinan.
