Veteran director Jose Javier Reyes tags the ongoing House probe relating to the proliferation of drugs at the national penitentiary, otherwise known as the National Bilibid Prison (NBP), as a reality show.
According to the acclaimed director, the House probe is "Philippines biggest reality show." He also said that this reality show of a probe is top billed by "two of the newest Pinoy leading men."
In yet another Twitter post, Reyes laments that the drug trade has become trivialized by the House and transformed into "a sordid tale of love & sex."
He cited the shift from investigating a crime into uncovering the juicy bits of a middle-aged woman's love story as the reason for his lack of interest in the proceedings.
He also enquired the lawmakers' zeal in uncovering the sordid details of Senator Leila De Lima's love affair with former driver-bodyguard Ronnie Dayan.
In another post, the director questions the legislators propriety and expressed curiosity regarding how zealous the lawmakers would have been if the entire ruckus in the House is not televised.
He concluded the series of tweets with an expression of hope, saying, "For the blessings given & the lessons learned, with hopes that reason rules & propriety prevails in our beloved country."
