- Ronnie Dayan finally testified at the House committee investigating the alleged drug trade inside the New Bilibid Prison
- The ex-driver and lover of the senator shocked the nation when he revealed that a third party was the cause of their split
- De Lima pursued another aide, Warren Cristobal, which has made Dayan jealous
The ongoing New NBP drug saga continues to get juicier each day, as Ronnie Dayan is not yet done testifying at the House committee on public order and illegal drugs.
Senator Leila De Lima's former driver-turned-lover admitted that they were in a relationship for seven years.
However, their split was nothing short of ordinary.
Dayan revealed that De Lima was allegedly in a relationship with Warren Cristobal, one of her other aides.
"Kasi po sir una ako tapos naramdam ko rin na may relasyon sila ni Joenel tapos ito naman si Warren kaya parang nasa isip ko uubusin niya kaming mga security niya," he said.
(At first I felt that she had a relationship with Joenel and then now with Warren so I thought she would go through her whole security detail.)
When he found about their relationship, he could not help but slap her.
Eventually, he accompanied her less.
The former driver of De Lima also disclosed that their relationship was starting to go downhill last year, stating that they were always fighting.
Another bombshell was when the former Department of Justice (DOJ) secretary asked him to return to Manila just to file his resignation.
"Sabi ko kay ma'am 'pinag-resign mo na ako na parang nagpapalipas lang ako ng sama ng loob sa Pangasinan' Nakakahiya kasi sabi niya at saka 'tama na rin ito para iwas gulo.' 'Okay, para wala na ngang talagang gulo. Ayaw ko ng gulo' sabi ko," he said.
(I told ma'am, you're making me resign, I was just letting myself cool down in Pangasinan. She said she was embarrassed and that this was better so there would be no trouble. I said okay, I don't want any trouble.)
Dayan is implicated in the drug trade the senator has been involved in, as he was touted as the bagman of the money she has gotten from the prison's drug lords.
De Lima has become a notorious public figure due to her involvement, which can cost her own life if the accusations heaped on her have been proven correct.
This has already become a national telenovela, beating Rufa Mae Quinto's constant updates of her upcoming wedding on social media.
