Rey Valera, a judge of the show “Tawag ng Tanghalan” received much criticism on social media after he lambasted two of the contestants during the show.
Based on the video of Showtime's Nov. 22 episode, he didn't only explain his verdict, but went below the belt, to the point of calling them 'palpak'

The two contestants who received the ire of Valera were Sam Mangubat and Clark Serafin.
Sam Mangubat sang O-Town's "All or Nothing" while Clark Serafin performed Jeremiah's "Nanghihinayang."
Although Mangubat was declared as the winner, the criticism they received wasn't taken well by netizens.
Mangubat will be defending his title.
