A three-year-old boy saved his father’s life by force-feeding him yoghurt after he collapsed on the kitchen floor.
The man, Mark Jones, fell into a diabetic coma after his blood sugar levels dropped dangerously. His son, Lenny-George, seeing this, climbed a chair to reach the handle of the fridge and grabbed two packs of yoghurt.
The boy then went to his toy kitchen and got a plastic knife because he could not reach the cutlery drawer. He used the knife to spoon the yoghurt into his father’s mouth until he woke up and was able to take his glucose tablets.
His mother, Emma, expressed her pride for her son after acknowledging that things could have turned out differently if he did not take the action he did.
He is a Type-1 diabetic and Emma described how she went to visit her mother for about 30 minutes only to return to find her husband and son lying on the sofa.

“Mark didn’t look well,” she said then asked what was going on. “Lenny just turned to me and said “I saved daddy”, and Mark said it was true.” She added that he would have fallen into a diabetic coma if the boy was not so quick-thinking.
She said that they had not really explained his father’s condition to him.
“Lenny must have seen Mark unwell in the past and watched me go to the fridge to get him food.” she said. ‘If there’s no Mars bars in the cupboard I do tend to get him a yoghurt.’
