Martial law victims and millennials to take their protest to Luneta on Friday

A grand Luneta rally will be held on Friday to protest the burial of dictator Ferdinand Marcos at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

According to Inquirer.net, those who will attend the rally comprise of students and Martial Law victims.

The press conference was held at the St. Scholastica’s Arvhive Museum.

Among those present during the press conference was the Campaign Against the Return of the Marcoses to Malacañang (CARMMA).

The groups are now urging the public to join in protest since they believe what’s happening is the “revision of history.”

A representative from the Philippine Normal University, the editor-in-chief of its publication “The Torch” said that as opposed to what people are saying that those who weren’t born during the Martial Law years don’t know anything, “We don’t need to live during the martial law to say that it is wrong. We have our history to base from.”

Former congressman Satur Ocampo, Mae Paner, Edith Burgos, Erin Tañada and Neri Colmenares, were among the key people who would be joining the Friday protest.

Bayan secretary general Renator Reyes will also join.

There will be a simultaneous protest in the provinces – Calamba, Isabela, Los Baños, Lucena City, Cebu, Iloilo, Tarlac, Davao, General Santos and Tuguegarao.
