- Maxine Medina will represent the Philippines in Miss Universe next year
- The beauty queen admitted that she is not 100 percent prepared for the pageant
- Maxine has drawn criticisms from her winning yet inadequate answer at the Binibining Pilipinas pageant
The search for the next Miss Universe is going to happen very soon - two months, to be exact.
But is our Philippine bet ready to take on her new challenge to represent us in the international pageant?
Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina admitted that she is still on the process of improving herself.
The pressure is definitely on for Maxine, as she is expected to bring the first back-to-back win for the country in the compettion.
Another challenging feat is to bring home another crown after Kylie Verzosa won this year's Miss International, although she said she is not pressured to do so.
Maxine stated that she is not 100 percent ready for Miss Universe, but is thrilled to compete with other beauty queens in the country.
The Philippines will be hosting the international pageant for the third time, which has faced some difficulties before it was finalized.
Maxine, who received mixed reactions from her winning answer at the Binibining Pilipinas 2016, shared that training has taken much of her time.
"I've been doing a lot of training. I'm always updating myself with current events, and I even discuss it with friends and family. I'll be ready by that time."
Even if Miss Universe is two months from now, Maxine should alreaady be confident that she can represent the country.
We still applaud her for her efforts, since it is never bad to improve yourself for the better.
She shares the same outlook as this woman, who still managed to pursue her dream despite her disability.
