- The mother of a 12-year-old boy who was found hanged released images of her son's last days in hospital
- She said she wanted his bullies to see what they had done
- Authorities at his school said that they everything they could to attend to the situation
Dylan Stewart and his mom, Amanda, and their family are from Telford, Shropshire in the UK. Dylan attended school at Lakeside Academy.
It was reported that he was being bullied for being new at the school and coming from another town - Stoke-on-Trent.
Bullies at the school labeled him 'Downie' - a reference to Down Syndrome, which he did not have.
Amanda said that Dylan had not reported any bullying to her but that he had become less withdrawn and more introverted. She attributed this to her having had a stroke some time previously. This situation changed the family life dramatically.
The school said that they were not aware of any bullying going in in Dylan's school life.
Dylan was found hanged in his bedroom. He died in hospital eight days later.
Earlier in the day his father, Robert, had noticed that some money had been missing from his wallet but Dylan claimed he later found it behind a radiator.
Dylan had been 'attacked' at a bus stop near the school, but this was said to have been a verbal rather than a physical attack.
Amanda said that Dylan was usually a happy child and always laughing.
