A happily pregnant woman posted an ultrasound photo of her baby daughter on Facebook and things got awkward when her friend decided to chime in.
The mother posted an image from a 3D ultrasound and when the feed came up on the friend’s page she responded by commenting, “That lasagne looks crisp,” mistaking the picture for that of the yummy meal.
The offended mother then quickly responded with, “that’s my daughter.”
The photo of the conversation was posted by a Twitter user who captioned it, “Facebook is absolutely insane.”
The screenshot of the conversation went viral and fast. It quickly gathered over 84,000 retweets and 168,000 likes on Twitter.
Most people who commented on the photo took the side of the confused friend. One person said, “3D Ultrasounds are the devils work. Who wants to see what their baby looks like if it were melting on the sun?”
Good point. The poor friend only commented on what she saw. How could she have known different, right?
