- The 16-year-old pregnant woman is from Las Piñas
- So far, four regions are known to be affected by the virus
The Department of Health has confirmed the country's second case of pregnant woman infected with the Zika virus.
According to DOH, a girl from Las Piñas, who is 32 weeks pregnant, shows the symptoms of being infected with the Zika virus.

The official announcement was made by Dr. Tayag on the department's official Twitter account.
On Tuesday alone, 10 new Zika virus cases were reported, which includes that of the Las Piñas girl.
The first case was that of a woman in Cebu. Based on the ultrasound, the woman's pregnancy is still normal up to now.

DOH Secretary Pauly Ubial said that the woman is still being monitored. Results have been normal so far and she will be delivering her baby on January.
So far, based on the health agencies report, four regions have been affected - NCR, Region 4-A, Region VI, and Region 7.
Babies whose moms were infected with Zika during pregnancy end up in a pitiful condition. This woman was lucky enough that when she was pregnant with her 14 children, Zika virus was still unheard of.
