Veteran comedian John "Sweet" Lapus, during the press brief for his new movie, The Working Beks, says that in the network war for the most number of closeted stars, ABS-CBN lands the top spot.
"Feeling ko sa ABS," he says and before it was clarified that the question was regarding the closeted ones.
After a short pause to think about closeted gays, Sweet gushes, "Parang, it's a tie!"
"It's a tie! kasi nasa GMA na 'yung isang feeling ko e," he confirmed.
After actor Prince Stefan reminded him of his public admission of sexual preference, Sweet reconsidered.
"Ay oo nga pala, 6-5! Out na pala 'to," he says.
One reporter dare asked, "Kasama na jan 'yung mga seniors ba?"
"Ah, kasama ba sila? Lamang nga ang ABS," Sweet said.
"Agad-agad, plus two 'yun e," he explained in jest.
"6-8, final answer," he confirmed, with ABS-CBN on the lead.
Sweet is playing the role of Gorgeous, the breadwinner in The Working Beks. His love for his family is the be-all and end-all of his life in the movie.
Also casted for The Working Beks are Prince Stefan, Edgar Allan "EA" Guzman, TJ Trinidad, and Joey Paras.
Viva Film's The Working Beks will be showing on November 23 in theaters nationwide.
Pitted against two other gay-themed movies, The Working Beks is slated to show up and steal the show like this toddler did.
