“Weeeee!!! Oh boy I am so excited. Bye Manila!!, ” Jodi Sta. Maria wrote in her Instagram along with a photo while in the airport before leaving for the Big Apple.

On the same post she said: “And off the iEmmys I go. Thank you sooo much for praying for me! I am healed in Jesus name."
Sta. Maria is nominated as best actress for portraying the role of Amor Powers in the much-talked-about remake of ABS-CBN's "Pangako Sa'yo" in 2015.
A day before her flight, the Filipina International Emmy Awards nominee shared she has a stomach flu since Sunda but was able to recover.
"Hello! Hello! Finally able to get out of bed and out of the house for some last minute preparations before leaving for NYC tomorrow," part of the caption says.
In a previous interview, Sta. Maria was in tears as she admitted that being recognized internationally has always been one of her dreams as an actress.

"I was really thankful na nabigyan tayo ng opportunity. Napansin tayong mga Filipino sa International Emmys," she said in her previous interview.
Other nominees for the said award are Judi Dench of United Kingdom, Grazi Massafera of Brazil, and Christiane Paul of Germany.
Awarding night will be at the Hilton New York Hotel on November 21.
