A couple, Kate and Peter, was ecstatic when they found out they were pregnant. This was great news but then, things got a little odd when they discovered that she had conceived again ten days later.
Kate was diagnosed with Polycystic ovarian syndrome. The condition prevented her from ovulating. Although they were heartbroken, the couple kept trying until they got pregnant with their miracle baby. Ten days later, they found out they got pregnant again.
This rare condition, known as Superfetation, is a medical phenomenon in which a woman becomes pregnant while already expecting — there are only 10 documented cases of this in the entire world.

“I had fallen pregnant and my body had spontaneously released another egg, giving the embryos different gestational ages,” Kate explained.
Most women do not normally ovulate when they become pregnant but because of this condition, Kate did. Her baby girls were given different due dates because of the odd situation: Dec. 20, 2015 and Dec. 30, 2015.
The babies were born together via C-section and are both doing fine.
Another weird fact about the situation was that Kate said she and her husband only had sex once to conceive both babies. “His sperm stayed alive for 10 days to fertilize the second egg released.”
Really a miraculous scenario. Good luck to the couple.
