- A 28-year mother of three committed suicide
- The woman was having many problems
- Her first two children were put in her ex-boyfriend’s custody
- Her other son had a serious liver condition and she was having problems in her present relationship
A young mother of three committed suicide, after apparently stressing out over the difficult situation she was going through with her children.
Emma Thomas, 28, had two kids from a previous relationship, and also a one-year old with her present boyfriend, Lee Walsh. This third baby was born with a serious liver condition.
In order to be able to care for the baby, her two older children were sent to their father, and who was recently granted full custody.
Thomas hanged herself in her own garden. She had shortly before written a farewell message on Facebook. “I can’t do it any more, bye”, she posted. She had attempted to kill herself before.
Walsh said in court the he could not “believe Emma did what she did. She left my baby boy.” The fact that social services had given her five and nine-year old children to her ex-boyfriend “was heart-wrenching for her,” commented Thomas’ sister.
Thomas had been prescribed anti-depressants to help her cope with the entire ordeal. She was also having “violent” problems with Walsh.
