There are a lot of great Filipino boxers in Philippine history; but when you speak of Manny Pacquiao, the pride of the Philippines, there is no doubt that he is the best boxer in the country and one of the best in the whole world.

During his amateur days and early fights as a professional boxer, Pacquiao already had lots of fans, including our very own President Rodrigo Duterte.
In a video posted on Youtube, President Duterte was one of the huge supporters of the great boxer as he was seen cheering and supporting Pacquiao.
The fight where Duterte was seen was when Pacquiao defended his IBF World Super Bantamweight title against Thai boxer Fahprakord Rakkiatgym in 2002.
It happened at Rizal Memorial Colleges Gym in Davao City, southern Philippines on October 26, 2002.
Duterte was mayor of Davao City when the Pacquiao fight happened.
Recently, the President had a special meeting with Senator Manny Pacquiao to congratulate him for another honor he gave to the country.
