Early Sunday, November 13, a huge fire ravaged Mandaluyong City.
According to the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the fire started at Block 35 in Barangay Addition Hills and spread to Block 36.
The fire reached the general alarm, which is the highest level, at around 9:45 pm on sunday.
However, the MMDA declared the fire under control by 12:31, Monday.
All firetrucks were dispatched to control the flames.
Authorities are still investigating the causes.
A report by Bam Alegre on Unang Balita said that there are 3 fatalities who are Rolly Ochondra, Wilma Laurino, and an unidentified baby. Alegre said that Ochondro's friend, Jason Delpanos, said that Rolly was electrocuted while trying to help fight the fire.
On the other hand, the autistic Wilma was left behind by her relatives inside the burning house.
According to local officials, a total of 1,465 families or 6,387 people were displaced by the fire.
As of writing, elementary schools were converted to shelters for those who were affected by the fire.
