How many pink dolphins have you seen? Not many, huh?
But pink dolphins are not a tale, as you might think. Those are real and one of them was spotted recently swimming in a Calcasieu Lake in Louisiana. And it was pink!
Pinkie drew a lot of attention to herself from both scientists and locals. Locals and tourists can not stop sharing photos this graceful animal. Scientists are more interested in discovering the reason of her pink skin.
They suggest Pinkie to be an albino. While albinism causes a lack of pigment, the unusual doulphin has a very bright pink skin color.
For the first time, she was spotted in 2007 and surprised everyone with her glamourous look!
Some say the dolphin is very friendly, she can swim close to a boat to check out the people checking her out!
Unfortunately, animals like Pinkie are always at risk of being hunted down.
Meanwhile, we are happy knowing Pinkie is doing just fine. Even more, she is thought to be pregnant! I wonder will her baby be pink too?
