After his recent show in GMA with Heart Evangelista, Dennis Trillo is expected to star in the remake of the network's first and original tele-fantasya Mulawin.
The well-loved series has been making hints that it will be having its comeback after Alden Richards made a special appearance in some of the episodes of Encantadia where he played as Lakan, a character not included in the original story of Mulawin and Encantadia. Miguel Tan Felix who played Pagaspas in the original fanta-serye also reprised his role in the remake of the currently aired Kapuso series.
Dennis' manager Popoy Caritativo seemed to have confirmed the re-make of GMA's first telefantasya when he posted a photo on his Instagram account showing Dennis with GMA Drama executives Lilybeth Rasonable, Helen Rose Sese, Cheryl Ching-Sy, and writer RJ Nuevas. He wrote in the caption:
"Meeting para sa pinaka bagong primetime show! #Mulawin2017 #MulingPaglipad #DennisTrillo"
Dennis also starred in the original series aired in 2004 as Gabriel who was the love triangle of lead characters Alwina played by Angel Locsin and Aguiluz portrayed by Richard Gutierrez.
The original story of the 2004 series was about a flock of the Mulawins who must fight the Ravenas in order to protect the mortals from their evilness.
Included in the cast of the original series were Bianca King as Aviona, Ara Mina as Vultra, Michael De Mesa as Ravenum, Zoren Legaspi as Bagwis, and Eddie Gutierrez as Dakila.
