- Angelu De Leon is known for her roles in 90s teen shows as well as playing a young mother in drama series
- The Kapuso actress suffered her second Bell's Palsy attack yesterday
- She has to sleep with an eye patch on her left eye since that side of her face has been paralyzed
In life, we cannot predict what will happen to us - whether we lose a loved one or suddenly contract an illness.
Such was the case of Kapuso actress Angelu De Leon, who shocked her followers as she shared a photo of her wearing a hospital gown.
Before anyone can assume that she is in a life or death situation, she shared that she went through a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan due to her condition.
Although she did not directly reveal her sickness, she used hashtags to piece her story - she had her second (and probably last) Bell's Palsy attack which has affected the left side of her face.
Bell's Palsy is the paralysis or weakness of the facial nerves, meaning that one cannot control the muscles on one part of his or her face. It can also make the face sag, as well as affect one's sense of taste and their production of tears and saliva.
Angelu's first attack was in 2009, which paralyzed the right side of her face.
Her succeeding post on Instagram showed how she has to cope with her sickness - by putting an eye patch over her left eye since she cannot close it.
She had to do so for fear that foreign objects might get into her eye, which might also render her blind.
The 'Encantadia' supporting actress ended her post with a message to her followers, telling them to take care of themselves and stay healthy as always.

Her fans do not have to worry for long - Bell's Palsy can be treated. However, its downside is that it is also recurring, which means that Angelu can have another painful episode.
We all hope for her recovery since we cannot wait for her to appear in more Kapuso shows. She has been one of the long-standing actresses of the network, starring in its hit teen shows 'T.G.I.S.' and 'Growing Up'.
Just like the child in the following clip, we expect that Angelu will be back in no time - happier and healthier than ever.
