- Renz Fernandez shared the condition of his brother Mark on jail and insisted on his release
- He also admitted on the heaviness of the situation which became a burden for his family
- The police already disqualified Mark from posting bail due to a kilo of Marijuana found on his possession
Renz Fernandez expressed his support on the release of his brother Mark Fernandez who was brought into jail for Marijuana possession.
During the press conference for his project, “OTJ: The Series,” Renz didn’t avoid questions regarding the condition of his brother who’s currently detained.
He vouched for his brother’s kindness and was even hesitant on commenting on the matter. He was already advised by their lawyer to keep their side of the story to themselves.
However, he wished for his older brother to be released soon.
Both Mark and Renz are the children of the late action star, Rudy Fernandez. While Mark’s mother is Alma Moreno and Lorna Tolentino is Renz’s, the brothers are still close to each other.

When asked on how the issue was taking a toll on their family, Renz didn’t deny the heaviness of the situation on them.
He also added that this wasn’t just Mark’s issue but something that is hurting his family in the process. Moreover, the fact that his older brother isn’t doing well right now became a heavier burden for them.
It came to a point that Mark even pleaded for his help. As for Renz, he assured his brother of his support. He also advised him to be strong and believe that they could overcome the situation in the future.
It was in October when the former matinee idol was involved in a car-chase with the police officers of Pampanga. During the checkpoint, they found a kilo of Marijuana inside his vehicle.
Mark already insisted that the illegal substances found on his possession were going to be used for medical purposes to prevent cancer. However, because of this discovery, they disqualified him for posting bail.
Right after the incident, Renz posted a photo of his brother with the caption, “You are in my prayers kind brother.”
Just like Mark, Nnamdi Kanu also has a number of supporters even after his arrest.
Robin Padilla took the time to thank the police for properly handling his nephew Mark’s arrest.
