While some are celebrating after the Supreme Court decided to favor the hero's burial for the former President Ferdinand Marcos, others are not pleased by the news.
The High Court on Tuesday put an end to the long-standing issue on whether the late dictator deserves to be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City or not.
Nine justices from the country's highest judicial institution were in favor of the burial while only five opposed it. This set the go signal to finally bury the late strongman at the Libingan.
Following that, the online community seems to be mourning and crying for the injustice given to the families whose relatives are until now missing, to the abused innocents, to the raped victims, to the students and teachers whose human rights were violated, to the tortured journalists and to the many others who suffered from the bloody martial law.
AFP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Restituto Padilla explains Marcos burial rites in this report by ANC.
