- Marian Rivera has been lauded for her simple yet feminine style
- The Kapuso Primetime Queen has a dress made by Portuguese designer João Rôlo
- Rôlo is known for his elaborate couture gowns
Despite her popularity, Marian Rivera is still one of the lesser-known style icons in the industry.
While she might be known for the roles she played, her style has been gaining traction recently thanks to @marian_ootd, an Instagram account that lists down each item she wore on a particular day.
Upon checking the page, it can be seen that the Kapuso Primetime Queen favors feminine shapes and soft colors – fit-and-flare dresses, muted pastel colors, structured purses, and delicate stilettos.

Since she rocks these glamorous dresses well, it is no surprise that she has gotten the attention of Portuguese designer João Rôlo.
Rôlo is known for his elaborate couture gowns in a variety of colors, but mostly sticking to black and white.
Marian posted a photo of the designer working on the dress he will give her, which looks like a cocktail dress embroidered with flowers from the shoulder down to the hem.
She captioned her post in Spanish, which translates her gratefulness and excitement on rocking a piece made for her.
The same photo can be seen in Rôlo’s account, with a caption in Portuguese that translates that he has finally worked on a dress for ‘a princess named @therealmarian’. He added that he is leaving for Philippines tomorrow (today as of press time) to personally give her the dress.
We cannot wait for her to rock the midnight blue confection, since we all know she will slay in it whatever the occasion.
While her style has caught the eye of a foreign designer, netizens cannot help but compare her to Heart Evangelista-Escudero.
Mrs. Chiz Escudero has always been noted for her superb style choices, whether she’s in jeans or in a couture piece.
Since it cannot be avoided that they have similar styles, here is a clip that all of us are guilty of watching: who wore which clothing item better.
