Philippine National Police Chief Director General Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa has flown to Las Vegas with his son, Rocky, on Friday, November 4, to watch Senator Manny Pacquiao in his fight against Jessie Vargas.
In an interview, the PNP chief admitted that it's his third time to watch the world boxing champion's fight. He also said that this will be an exciting fight for the senator.
"Maganda ito, kasi parehong hindi tumatakbo. Salpukan talaga ito," he said.
The police chief is confident that the boxing champ from the Philippines will be able to score a knockout.
"Knock out 'yan," Bato said.
When forced to predict the end-round for Manny, the police chief had hesitantly announced sixth.
"Baka nsa six yan," he obliged, inadvertently countering an earlier prediction made by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte, who said that Manny will stop Jessie Vargas in just four rounds.
“Hindi naman ako boxing expert," says the President, and added, "but I hope if it does happen, sana madalian kasi if it goes beyond seven to eight [rounds], pagod na iyan. Wala na masyadong [lakas]."
The police chief had accurately predicted a Game 6 championship victory for the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings earlier.
