- Paolo Ballesteros accepted the Best Actor Award at the Tokyo International Film Festival as Julia Roberts
- In order to achieve the measurements of Julia Roberts, Paolo wore a plastic taped tightly around her waist
- Paolo starred as a transgender in Jun Lana’s “Die Beautiful”
Actor and TV hose Paolo Ballesteros revealed the secret on how he achieved the complete look of actress Julia Roberts when he accepted his best actor award at the recent Tokyo International Film Festival.
Paolo posted a photo on his Instagram account showing a cast-like material that looks like a very thin waist. According to the comments, it is a plastic wrapped around the actor’s waist and tightened with scotch tape. Julia Roberts, whose measurements are 34-24-35, has a perfect hourglass figure.
This method is commonly used by cross dressers in order to achieve the measurements of a woman. Because the material is too tight, it has to be cut by scissors to remove it. He apparently learned his lesson after he attached the packing tape directly on his skin that caused blisters.
In his speech, the actor joked, "First, I would like to thank the Tokyo International Film Festival and the members of the jury for embracing our film. I thought I was up for Best Actress.”
“To the organizers, to the programmers, to the volunteers, you have been very helpful and gracious to us during our stay here in Japan,” he quickly added.
The Eat Bulaga! host turned heads earlier when she walked the red carpet as Angelina Jolie. Paolo starred in Jun Lana’s film “Die Beautiful” being a transgender whose dying wish is to be dressed as Katy Perry for her funeral. The film also won the Audience Choice award.
