Many fans expected this match-up to be a competitive and explosive fight, with both of the fighters having an impressive resume and a do-or-die attitude in the ring.

The fight was indeed explosive but it was not competitive at all. Manny Pacquiao knocked down Hatton twice in the first round and brutally knocked him out for good in the second round.
