Make way for the latest Filipina who successfully brought home another beauty pageant crown to the country.
After a series of congratulatory messages kicking in, Kylie Verzosa finally uploaded her first social media post after being throned as the most beautiful woman internationally.
In an understandable lengthy message, she started expressing her disbelief on what used to be just a goal for her. Although she admitted that it’s hard for her part to fully express her feelings, “ecstatic” trumped everything.
She also immediately thanked her supporters including first and foremost, her family.
In a true beauty queen manner, she commended her fellow Miss International 2016 candidates. Verzosa even mentioned the hardships they had gone through - but in the end, were all worth it.

As early as now, the 24-year old beauty queen gave a shout out to the Miss International 2016 organization. She thanked them for trusting her with the crown and assured them of her “big plans.”
She didn’t also forget to mention the leaving Miss International of last year, Edymar Martinez of Venezuela. Verzosa thanked her for being an inspiration and confessed that she has some big shoes to fill.
She even gave homage to the hosting country, Japan, by giving her sincere gratitude using their language.

Lastly, in just one sentence, she addressed all the celebrating Filipinos around the globe who rooted for her. “Philippines, this is for you,” was enough for the Filipinos to acknowledge all her efforts and sacrifices to win the competition.
As expected, Filipinos and even beauty pageant supporters around the world expressed their support for her.
The Instagram post has now garnered almost 40,000 likes and around 1,400 comments. Since then, she has posted two more photos of her coronation.
