Bringing the Filipino pride with her to Tokyo, Kylie Verzosa bagged the coveted Miss International title.
During the press conference thereafter, the 24-year-old beauty queen didn’t pass up the chance to thank all the Filipinos who supported her. The most important part of it all was that she offered her win to the Philippines.
“Philippines, we got it! I love you all, this is all for you,” said an ecstatic Verzosa.
She also emphasized all the hard work and struggles that she has been through just so she would be able to win the crown.
She again reiterated that whatever it was, it was all for the Filipinos.
Kylie is the 6th Filipina who got to win the Miss International title. She joined the Binibining Pilipinas competition twice before she was able to bag the Bb. Pilipinas International title, which led her to Tokyo.
The winning answer of Kylie was given in response to the question what it was that she wants to focus on in the event she wins as Miss International. To which she gracefully responded:
“If I become Miss International 2016, I will devote myself to cultural understanding and international understanding because I believe that it is in developing in each of us sensitivity to other cultures that we expand our horizons, tolerate difference and appreciate diversity.”
