- Kylie Verzosa claims to be the ‘luckiest’ after meeting Duterte in Japan
- Her Instagram post comes a day before she won as the Miss International 2016
- The two appeared to be delighted to snap a photo with each other
If there’s one thing to describe Kylie Verzosa – aside from ‘beautiful,’ of course – that would be ‘lucky.’
The reigning Miss International 2016 said it herself on her Instagram post a day before she took the prestigious title, with the reason that she was able to personally meet Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte while he was on a state visit in Japan.
Both were sporting friendly smiles and seemed to be delighted to have shared the same day on visiting the foreign country – despite their trips being work-related.
Kylie was able to exhibit finesse and grace (as expected from her) even through a simple photo, while Duterte appeared to be more than ready for a selfie with the stunning Filipina. The two were able to snap one amidst the large number of people surrounding them.
Some web users even noted that Duterte was donning his ‘legendary smirk’ on the photo.
At the same post, Kylie took the opportunity to express her gratitude to the people who supported her journey towards the esteemed pageant.
Kylie thought she was at her ‘luckiest’ that time, but unknown to her then, all her efforts would bear fruit as she was only recently crowned on Thursday, October 27.
Filipinos are more than proud to be represented by someone who proved to have the beauty and brains suited for the qualifications and responsibilities the title holds.
Her quick thinking and impressive delivery of her answer during the Q&A segment was enough proof that she could easily handle the pressure of being Miss International.
It’s still too early to say, but we already know that you won’t be a disappointment, Kylie!
Another inspiration for everyone is this little girl who strives at life despite the setbacks.
Kylie first started to join Binibining Pilipinas in 2015 and landed only up to the Top 15. A year later, she decided to try another shot and won as Binibining Pilipinas International 2016.
