Who could forget Lauren Rosales - the 26-year-old female passenger who was dead on the spot after an unidentified man fired 3 bullets at her back while aboard a jeepney in Makati.
Some of the netizens blamed the death of Lauren as drug-related, but, the family of the victim denied the accusation noting that Lauren never use illegal drugs.
It was on July 21 this year when that tragic incident happened to Lauren.
Three months later, her brother Petronio "JR" Rosales Jr suffered the same unfortunate fate.
On Wednesday, around 12:25 am, two men riding a motorcycle came after JR while he and his friend were in front of the Dellherts Cafe Bar and Restaurant in Barangay San Antonio, Makati waiting for their ride. JR was shot at his left temple by one of the attackers.
Roberry, certainly, was not the motive of the suspects as cigarettes, keys and some money were recovered from JR's pockets by the Scene of the Crime Operatives officials.
JR was only in Manila to process Lauren's Social Security Service (SSS) benefits and was supposed to return to his wife in United Kingdom (UK) where the couple are based.
It can be recalled that JR, the elder brother and only sibling of Lauren, has deeply mourned the untimely death of her younger sister.
"Sana ako na lang (I wish it were me)," he once told Rappler.
"She has all her life ahead of her," were the only words JR could say when his sister died.
According to a source who requested anonymity , JR and Lauren' mother is in shock and was just staring into empty space.
"I'm numb. I fear for my own life," the same source revealed.
Meanwhile, investigators are still looking for the real motive and are yet to identify the two suspects who wore full face helmets. As of now, the case of JR's sister remains unresolved.
