Trick-or-treaters may want to stay indoors on Halloween as reports claimed that killer clowns will be on the loose.
Facebook page “Clown Hunters” announced on Oct. 12 that killer clowns worldwide are planning a “purge night” before the Halloween and warned people to stay indoors with their pets and the doors and windows locked. The page is now suspended by Facebook not before the post went viral. Rumors also reached Twitter and have been the talk of the town, especially in places of clown sightings.
Reports claimed that the purge night will happen on Oct. 30, while others claimed that it will take place on Oct. 31 on Halloween.
The purging will take place worldwide where killer clowns were spotted – USA, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, as well as Asian countries like the Philippines and Japan.
While people take the announcement as another prank, police warned the public to be extra cautious on the said night.
Meanwhile, a Facebook fan page named The Clowns – Philippines surfaced and immediately garnered over 270,000 likes. The page is composed of pranksters aiming to terrorize key cities in the Philippines. The group even challenged netizens to post their cities so the group can visit them too.
In US and Canada, killer clown pranks are going on at an alarming rate. Some of the pranks have resulted to deaths. Some of the clowns lured children in the woods.
