First time voter? Or just plain excited to change the country this coming May 9 but confused how? Read through the article and know more about election reminders for the May 9 elections.
1. Look for your name in the Posted Computerized Voters List near the entrance of your polling place. Know your precinct number and sequence number. Have your identity verified in the Election day Computerized Voters List (EDCVL).
2. Get your ballpen and ballot from the Board of Election Inspectors (BEI) and proceed to the voting booth. Make sure that when you fill up the ballot, you shade the circle completely. Do not make any other marks on the ballot.
3. After filling up your ballot, put the ballot inside the Vote Counting Machine (VCM) and wait for the receipt that will be issued. An election worker will cut the receipt for you. DO NOT BRING YOUR RECEIPT OUTSIDE OF THE POLLING BOOTH. He will put indelible ink on you before he gives you your receipt.
4. Drop your receipt outside in the receptacle.
A few more reminders would be:
-Do not use your own ballpen or marker. An official ballpen issued by COMELEC should be given to you.
-Fully shade the circle of your chosen candidate.
-Do not overvote in a position. If you do, your vote will not be counted.
-You can undervote.
