- During the presscon, both revealed the motivation behind their acceptance of the project
- The teleserye is “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin”
After 10 years, fans of Kimerald have something to look forward to again as Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson will be back in one bombastic teleserye, “Ikaw Lang ang Iibigin.”
While many of their fans revel at the thought of the ex-couple being together again, some are wondering whether it will result to certain sparks flying again.
During an interview, Kim Chiu was brave enough to admit that she was initially hesitant about accepting a project where she would be paired with Gerald Anderson, her ex-boyfriend.
She described the feeling of being “alangan” as sobra. She said that siyempre she’s “tao lang naman po.”
However, due to the prodding of Mr. Johnny Manahan, who asked wh yshe wouldn’t accept the challenge, after all, she should just think about it as a challenge to her career considering that she is no longer a teenager who only does some “pa-tweetums” on screen.
According to Kim, it has been a long time since she and Gerald have worked together on a project and it was like six or seven years. She also admitted that a lot of thing have happened to both their careers and personal lives.
Chiu rationalized things and weighed on the consequences of saying “no” and saying “yes.” She said that both ways would have several reactions.
She then came to a conclusion that perhaps “it’s about time.” One of her fears was that during the time that she and Gerald were a love team, social media was almost non-existent.
Of course, Kim and Gerald couldn’t stop reporters from asking about the possible effect of this reunion on their personal lives.
Kim said that work is different from their personal lives. Do you think they can handle it?
As for Gerald, he said that he has always been optimistic about him and Kim working together again. He also considers standing next to Kim during the press conference as a special moment, and that he became speechless.
For fans of Kimerald, you just have to wait for the official premiere date of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson’s newest teleserye “Ikaw Lang and Iibigin.”
