Trump’s “Nasty Woman” Comments Make Janet Jackson’s “Nasty” Popular Again

-Presidential debate between Clinton and Trump has an unexpected result

-Janet Jackson's song 'Nasty' jumps in popularity after Trump interrupts Clinton

-Another presidential debate where the real topics are overshadowed by controversy

During the last presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, Clinton was answering a question on tax increases and made a thinly veiled jab at Trumps history of filing bankruptcy and tax returns. Clinton was providing an example that when she plans to tax the rich her income and social security contributions will increase and so would Donald Trump’s to which she adds ‘…assuming he can’t get out of it.’

Trump interrupts with the interjection ‘such a nasty woman’, which Clinton ignores and continues with her response unfazed. As an unintended consequence people have linked Janet Jackson’s 1986 hit ‘Nasty’ to the debate. As a result the streams of the song on Spotify have increased by 250%.

This is yet another presidential debate where the real issues and topics that should concern Americans are being overshadowed by petty politicking and controversy.
