- This video shows the events leading up to the shooting of a man in Springdale, Arkansas
- The man pulled out a handgun and fired at the officers
- He was known to police before the incident and the shooting was deemed justified
This video depicts the reasons why police were justified in the shooting of Zachary Sutton (26), who was a known character to police officers (for unknown reasons).
Sutton was pulled over on his scooter by Sergeant Josh Kirmer and Patrolman Roger Eubanks. At first Sutton seems calm, looking at the officers and insolently raising his hands. As they move towards him, he drops his hands to his side.
First one of the officers inspects and searches his vehicle, and as one moves behind him to pat him down, he pulls out a handgun and fires at one of the officers at very close range.
In a matter of moments they shoot back and he falls into the road just further ahead.
The officers secure him on the ground and ensure that his firearm is no longer a threat, also calling for back-up.
A number of other officers arrive at the scene and efforts are made to treat him with first aid.
