- Angel Locsin rose to fame while in GMA, first starring in teen-oriented show 'Click'
- Prior to her stint in GMA, she admitted that she auditioned for the role of Missy Sandejas in 'G-Mik' first
- The 'Darna' star has since returned to ABS-CBN, topbilling 'Lobo' in 2009 and 'The Legal Wife' in 2013
Contrary to popular belief, Angel Locsin started her career in ABS-CBN. She became a part of Star Circle Batch 9, 9-C to be exact.
Since she was discovered by a talent agent in a grocery store, her life took on a more interesting direction as she slowly trod the way to stardom.
In yesterday's episode of 'Magandang Buhay', Angel shared one of her auditions in her current network before she became famous.
She revealed that she tried out for the part of Missy Sandejas, the girly-girl in youth-oriented show 'G-Mik', but failed to snag the part.
Instead, it went to her seatmate - Heart Evangelista - who became famous for playing the role.
The 'Darna' star also shared that she went to the audition barefoot since she was told that the role was to be partnered with John Prats.
She explained that she did so because she had to be shorter than her possible leading man.
Her failure to nab the role has also led her out of Star Magic's talent pool as Heart became one of Star Magic Circle Batch 9's official talents.
However, Angel got the chance to star in another teen show - she played the role of Charley in GMA's 'Click', which they have pitted against the show she originally auditioned for.
She has achieved widespread fame during her stay in GMA with 'Mulawin' and 'Darna', which she will reprise in a movie adaptation next year.
Aside from her acting chops, Angel has also been recognized as one of the sexiest women in the land - topping FHM's list in 2005 and 2010.
Nevertheless, this grandmother tried to achieve the same status as one of our beloved local actresses but that is up for interpretation.
