- Canadians decided to send some love to Americans before the elections
- They send the supportive messages through the new viral campaign
- Twitter profile, hashtag, and YouTube videos help people express
This season’s presidential campaign has revealed what are the biggest differences among the Americans. Many are left anxious about what the future will bring. However, the northern neighbors, Canadians, still have only one thing to say: America is great.
A campaign called “Tell America It’s Great” has recently been started by the Canadians who felt American citizens needed some support. The message is spread through the hashtag #TellAmericaItsGreat, the Twitter profile, and a YouTube video series.
The idea came from a Toronto creative agency, Garden Collective. The agency founder, Shari Walczak, said that “sometimes friends just need to look out for each other.”
The video testimonials feature Canadians who are sending warm messages to all the Americans. Most of the time, all they say is “You guys are great”.
It’s a famous stereotype that Canadians are nice and polite, so why not live up to it. There are worse ones, and Canada is apparently proud to have so many nice citizens.
