A street sweeper from Brussels that won the largest lottery in Belgium “Euromillions” last week on Monday October the 17th didn’t arrive to work this morning.
According to the lottery site the lottery winnings were the largest in the history of Belgium: a sum total of 168 million euros. This is the 12th winning in the history of Belgium and the biggest in the history of the country (the last winner won a total of 100 million euros).
The name of the man has not been announced out of security reasons; however his photo is already on the internet. What is known is that the man is from Albania, he is 45 years old and has four children. He has stated that he is a football fan, loves seafood and movies with Robert DeNiro and that part of his winnings will go to the poor.
His employer has stated that he did not inform them if he will be returning to work or if he has left the position.
The ‘Euromillion’ lottery has been running since 2004. The tickets are sold in nine European countries. The lottery is played every Tuesday and Friday.
