Kris Aquino expressed her concern for all of the celebrities in Philippine showbiz who are either using or selling illegal drugs.
According to the actress-host, admitting their mistakes and going to a rehabilitation center in order to help them clean up their act is the first step to recovery.
“Unang-una diyan (First and foremost), own up to it… If you're still into it, my God naman, matuto ka na (it is time to learn your lesson)! Stop it. If you can afford to buy it [drugs], e, so dalhin mo na sarili mo sa rehab (then use that money to take yourself to rehab). Kung ayaw mo dito (If you do not want to do it here), mag-abroad ka (go abroad), linisin mo ang sarili mo (clean up your act),” the superstar said.
She also warned them that they could die if they do not stop using or selling illegal drugs.
According to the veteran showbiz star, some celebrities are resorting to illegal drug use in order to cope with their hectic schedule and their personal issues brought upon by their stardom.
“Yun nga, ang hirap ng trabaho, ang hirap ng work hours, kung wala ka pang support system (The job and the work hours are difficult, especially if you do not have a support system). Hindi ko sinasabing tama yun, pero posible talagang malaglag ka dun (I am not saying that it is right, but it is really possible to fall into that),” Kris Aquino pointed out.
She advised celebrities who are having difficulties coping with their job to seek out their family and loved ones in order to avoid drug use and addiction.
Kris also expressed her willingness to undergo a drug testing, saying that she has never used illegal drugs in her entire life.
