Concert goers and music lovers in general are in for a huge treat this August as MMI Live and Ovation Productions announced today that they are bringing The 1975, Panic! at The Disco, and four other international acts in the music festival “In The Mix” at the Mall of Asia Arena.
After successful mall shows in 2014 and a concert in 2015, English alternative rock band The 1975 will return to Manila for the third time, as promised by frontman Matt Healy. The band is known for hits like “Chocolate,” “Girls,” and “Sex.”
Panic! at The Disco is also returning to Manila after their first visit in 2008. The band has recently released their fifth studio album that is “a mix between Queen and Sinatra,” as described by lead vocalist Brendon Urie.
Nostalgia will hit fans when they hear “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Graduate,” and “How’s It Going to Be” as American rock band Third Eye Blind is also joining the music fray.
Meanwhile the newcomers to Manila are Grammy’s Best New Artist nominee James Bay, American singer-songwriter Elle King, and Glasgow-based band Twin Pines.
Tickets for the August 18 show will go on sale on May 21 at SM Ticket Outlets (Call 470-2222) or online at smtickets.com.
