- Multiple explosions and billowing smoke had been observed in Bocaue, Bulacan on Wednesday, October 12, following news that fire had started in one fireworks store

The fire that razed the fireworks market and one fireworks factory in Bocaue, Bulacan on Wednesday, October 12, has been declared fire out at around 1 p.m., leaving in its wake a trail of destruction - damaged properties, vehicles, 24 injured, one confirmed missing person, and one dead woman.
Bocaue, Bulacan, Mayor Joni Villanueva had confirmed that there is one confirmed fatality in the explosion and that six injured bystanders had been identified.
At least four vehicles had been damaged in the fire and ensuing explosions.
"May kalakihan (ang sunog)," says Mayor Villanueva and she added, "Meron pa ding maliliit na paputok na sumasabog."
(The fire is big. Small fireworks were also exploding.)
The mayor had also assured assistance for those that were wounded in explosion. She announced that four ambulances and 20 fire trucks had been deployed to the area but the cause of the blast is still being investigated.
Information from the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) had revealed that the fire started in a store of a certain Dina Gonzales in Barangay Binang First at around 10 a.m.
As of press time, the identity of the casualty in the explosion is still unknown but the body is being checked by the PNP-SOCO.
