- Kris Aquino admitted that she felt regret over her decision not to sign with the ABS-CBN network in March
- She also expressed her sadness over a recently delayed project
- Kris added that she still has not signed with any network yet
Kris Aquino on Tuesday admitted that she felt great regret for not signing a contract with ABS-CBN back in March.
“It was my fault. I can still be there now. I was stupid,” the actress revealed.
The superstar declined to renew her contract in March with ABS-CBN due to the death threats she received from the Abu Sayyaf terror group and due to some health concerns.
But she now regrets that decision.
“Kasi minsan talaga, yung regret mo dun sa iniwan mo na, ‘Bakit ko ba iniwan?’ (Sometimes, you regret what you have left behind and you say, ‘Why did I leave that behind?),” the actress-host said.
According to Kris, she thought that the network giant would have a show ready for her when she came back but the contrary happened.
“Siguro (Maybe) at the time, akala ko pagbalik ko, may space pa (I thought that there would be a space for me once I come back). I overestimated my worth,” Kris explained.
She added that she is very much missing her ABS-CBN colleagues, her work schedule and interaction with the other Kapamilya stars.
She also clarified that she still does not have a contract with any TV station and that she would welcome an offer. She also said that one of the things that made her even sadder was that one of her projects was also delayed.
According to Kris, one of the things that helped her get through her sadness was attending a Mass at the Our Lady of Manaoag in Pangasinan.
The actress is the daughter of the late President Corazon Aquino and the sister of previous President Benigno Aquino III. A rumor spread that she would be transferring to the GMA Network but nothing concrete followed.
