Gloc-9 has spoken up on his performance in Abby Binay's rally that drew flak from netizens.

In an e-mail to Rappler, Gloc-9's management told the news agency that Gloc-9 has been performing in various sorties since February and it was like just any other gig for a local candidate. This also wasn't an indication that he was for Binay.

The full statement from Gloc-9's management read:

Gloc-9 received much criticism from his friends and followers when pictures of him in Abby Binay's proclamation rally surfaced on social media. Many believed through the pictures that he was endorsing the Binays.

Makati Second District Representative Abigail Binay is running for mayor, and this has also been heavily criticized by supporters of her father's rivals in the presidential race.

One of Gloc-0's closest friends, Mocha Uson, spoke about her criticism of Gloc-9's appearance in the rally on Facebook. Her post read:

"Gloc-9, please don't get me wrong.

(Gloc-9, please don't get me wrong. I am friends with you and your manager. My group loves and idolizes you. But at this point, I was hurt and saddened at the news. It is as if you sold our country to politicians who we know do not deserve the position because of their corrupt nature. I hope you think about the state of the people who want change. You were known as a rapper who furthered nationalism. What happened to you? How were you able to stomach this?)

(You still have time to take back your support in 40 days before election and show your real love for our country.)
