- Dancer/choreographer Gab Valenciano and dancer/host Tricia Centenera split after a year of marriage due to infidelity and money issues
-Despite their separation, Gary Valenciano admitted he is still close with his daughter-in-law
- Mr. Pure Energy also remains hopeful that they will be able to iron out their issues
It has been a month since Gab Valenciano and Tricia Centenera have ended their year-long marriage, although nothing has been finalized yet regarding the legality of their split.
Tricia, who is known for hosting 'The Girls of 28A' with her model friends, has dropped hints of her marital woes through social media until she and her estranged husband confirmed that they are no longer together.
Despite the saddening news that Gary Valenciano's son has decided to thrown in the towel to a sacred bond, Mr. Pure Energy himself does not close his doors on a possible reconciliation between the two.
"Napakagrande ng kanilang kasal tapos biglang ito ang nangyayari," he said, echoing the sentiments of those who have followed their lavish wedding rites in the past two years.
(Their wedding has been really extragavant and then this will happen.)
Just like every other parent, he is affected by the split of his children. He added that he remains close with the mestiza beauty, proudly declaring that she will always be a part of his family.
Tricia reciprocates the feeling, as evidenced by some of her posts on social media.
As she is still in the process of completely moving on, her distant husband seems to be doing fine on his own.
"Gab is okay. Alam naman natin na medyo may mga pagsubok na kanyang hinaharap but I think every family goes through it. We are handling it as a family," Gary said when asked about the 'Super Selfie' creator.
(Gab is okay. We all know that we each have our own problems to face but I think every family goes through it. We are handling it as a family.)
"Meron talaga silang pinagdaanan but I really would like to tell people, just like all of you watching, there are things na you keep within family because that’s the only way it can be solved. I’d keep it that way," he added.

However, Gary denied that there was a third party involved but understood the speculations about his son's infidelity.
"There will always be third parties that will come out because Gab is a naturally friendly kind of person. So siyempre kapag medyo mainit-init ang pinag-uusapan, kahit maging mabait siya ng kahit kaunti sa babae, laging mali-link, ‘Uy baka yun ang [third party].’ I don’t think that’s the case."

Despite the hard times they are going through as a family right now, the 'ASAP' regular believes that nothing is impossible with God.
"The thing is I always believe that nothing is impossible with God. Kung ako buhay pa after 38 years of being a diabetic, siguro puwede pang mabuhay at maiwan na masigla at nabubuhay pa rin ang marriage nila," he said.
