A photographer from Florida captured the moment when the powerful winds of Hurricane Matthew swept a dolphin out of the water and towards the beach.
The dolphin is seen flying through the air.Ernie Schwartz from the Weather Channel stated: “I have photographed hundreds of tornados and four hurricanes. I’ve never seen winds so strong that dolphins were blown from the ocean.”
Earl Sneed, wildlife expert, stated that what we see isn’t such an uncommon sight. He said that dolphins usually try swim away from hurricans, but if it catches them near shore the strong winds and waves can pull them out of the water and send them flying toward the shore.
Locals stated that there were dozens of dolphins swept out of the water toward residential areas.
