However, she has not disclosed what her upcoming projects will be about.
Despite keeping her future plans under wraps, it has been noted that Pia and Miss Universe 2016 Maxine Medina went to the UNICEF headquarters to talk about their advocacies on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) three days after her birthday.
Prior to her visit to the United Nation (UN) program's office, she retaliated to a skeptical netizen who thought she was not doing anything regarding her advocacy. She curtly replied that she was going to UN the following day and asked the rude commenter what he or she will be doing by then.
Aside from her incoming endeavors, she was also asked to confirm if the Philippines will host the international beauty pageant this year. Her initial response was that people should wait for the pageant's management to release their official announcement.
Malacañang and the Department of Tourism (DOT) has recently reported that Miss Universe 2016 will not be held in the country, which Pia added that she has been doing everything for the event to push through here.
Miss Universe is reputedly owned by William Morris Endeavor/IMG, who said that the yearly competition will not proceed in the Philippines due to the following reasons: political instability, security concerns, and the hosting fee which the country has not paid yet.
The agency has been looking for other countries to host the event, as well as their Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament which is set to happen this month.
