Two policewomen seemed to be on the brink of fame when a photo of them together with arrested actor Mark Anthony Fernandez went viral on social media.

The two policewomen who seemed to be fan-girling over the handsome actor had their photo taken while he was in the Angeles City police station.

Fernandez was arrested after he was caught possessing 1 kilo of marijuana in a checkpoint while he was in his car on Monday.

Some netizens criticized the viral photo and many were not pleased with the two policewomen who were in uniform when they had the photo taken. However, some did not see anything wrong with having a photo taken with a celebrity.

One Facebook user criticized the policewomen and said: "To those policewomen on that pic. Nakauniporme kayo. Dapat act as professionals. Nasan na ung Ethics 101 nio? Kesyo idol nio na artista yan o what just be a professional. Sana naisip nio yan."

Another netizen said that there's nothing wrong with the photo and defended Fernandez over his possession of marijuana: "Ano masama dun. Crush ko nga yan eh... Ako halikan ko pa yan e. Ano ba ginawa nya may pinatay ba sya, he admit na his using marijuana may ginawa ba syang trouble. Last teleserye nya wish I may after that may narinig ba kaung gulo ginawa nya? Un Mali nya may marijuana sya. Pero wala syang gulong ginagawa o pinapatay o ninakaw."

According to Station commander chief inspector Francis Guevarra Jr., the photo was taken as merely a souvenir for the two policewomen.

The photo posted by Nathan Hachero Azarcon already gained more than 20,000 reactions on Facebook.
